IRS Gets Input from Practitioners at IMRS Meeting

 
IRS Stakeholder Liaison Area 5 held its “First Friday of the Month” IMRS meeting on November 1, 2019. The purpose of IMRS meetings is to get feedback from practitioners in order to help resolve systemic issues with federal tax policies, practices or procedures. Topics covered at the meeting included correspondence audits, Form 23, Application for Enrollment to Practice Before the Internal Revenue Service, feedback on IRS.gov, Form 1099-R distributions to charity, IRS notices regarding Form 8867, Paid Preparer's Due Diligence Checklist, and much more.
